Roof Replacement
After tear-off, we always check decking and replace what's needed. Soft spots mean moisture intrusion. The old roof was leaking longer than you realized. We use 7/16" or 15/32" CDX plywood depending on rafter spacing. New decking costs $75-$120 per sheet installed. We only replace what's actually damaged.

Missing shingles from wind damage expose the underlayment to UV degradation. If the underlayment is compromised, water intrusion follows the next rain. We don't just replace the missing shingle. We pull back surrounding courses, inspect the underlayment for UV damage and nail holes, replace compromised sections, and weave new CertainTeed Landmark or IKO Cambridge shingles into the existing field. Proper repair, not a patch.

Wind damage and hail damage look different and require different documentation. Our HAAG-trained inspectors know what adjusters look for: granule displacement patterns, fractures in the shingle mat, seal failures, cracked ridge caps. Proper documentation is why our claims get approved.

GAF Timberline HDZ. The best-selling shingle in North America. With StrikeZone nailing area for consistent fastener placement. Class A fire rating per UL 790, Class 4 impact resistance per UL 2218 (when installed in the GAF Roof System), and Class H wind rating per ASTM D7158 (130 mph). We install Timberline in the full GAF system to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty: 25-year non-prorated workmanship plus 50-year materials with WindProven limited wind warranty (no max speed). That warranty is why we recommend GAF for most Clever homes.

We custom-form seamless aluminum gutters on-site from a continuous coil of .027 gauge stock. No factory seams means no seam failures. We form them to the exact length your fascia requires. One piece, one gutter, no leaks.

Our inspection covers the roof and the attic. From the attic, we check for daylight through the roof deck, moisture stains on rafters, mold on sheathing, and ventilation function. Problems in the attic often indicate roof issues that aren't visible from the surface.

Emergency protocol for active water intrusion: (1) interior containment. Buckets, plastic sheeting, water extraction if accessible, (2) exterior tarping with 20x30 heavy-duty poly sheeting over damaged area extending minimum 4 feet past damage on all sides, (3) secure with 2x4 nailer boards lag-screwed to the roof deck (not through shingles), (4) secondary tarp overlap for multi-section damage, (5) document with timestamped photos for insurance. Permanent repair scheduled within 48-72 hours once materials are sourced.

Tubular skylights work where standard skylights can't. Interior bathrooms, hallways, closets. A reflective tube runs through the attic from a small rooftop dome to a ceiling diffuser. Brings in surprisingly good natural light. We install them in 2-3 hours.
